Summary: In a Tokyo hospital, Dr. Kuroda handles strange sleep disorders. When his associate, Dr. Yamauchi, comes across a young woman assaulted by another patient, Kuroda begins working on the case of Mukoda Tetsurou. Months before, Mukoda checked himself in complaining of “long dreams”. Instead of the normal, his REM-induced hallucinations would last days and sometimes months. But soon it increases exponentially and Mukoda is dreaming for YEARS. While trying to discover the secret of why this is happening, Dr. Kuroda lives with the guilt of another patient he couldn’t cure - a woman named Kana who continues to haunt him.
Overall: Its weird but the film is short at 55 minutes long but like the dreams of the characters, it feels much longer. I thought at times the makeup and effects were pretty good and then at other times looked just cheesy. I thought there was some good material here but overall was just a weird film with lots of unexplained plot veins. It’s just weird enough for me to promote as a film needing one viewing!
