The Leprechaun is back and ready to visit Sin-City. An old man delivers to a pawnbroker the leprechaun encased in stone with his pot of gold. Seeing a great opportunity for money, the broker takes off the leprechaun’s medallion and steals the gold. The leprechaun now goes in search of his gold pieces. But his search could alter the history of Las Vegas and may bankrupt the city forever. But can another leprechaun jump in and stop in?
Overall: The film doesn’t do well keeping to the previous films. It added the medallion and the wishes but dumped the 4-leaf clover, which gets resurrected in future films. The idea of the 2nd leprechaun was different and unique but barely touched upon in why it happened…even the Lep didn’t intentionally cause it or even want some competition. The explanation of it was beyond lacking. It could have been a better idea if they added more back story to that. There are 2 things that work in this film. One is the encounter by the Leprechaun with Elvis. That’s funny and very imaginative. And the 2nd is the actress playing Tammy. She does a fantastic job in the film and looks good doing it. And she even has a similar look to Ami Dolenz. Anyway, the film is entertaining despite lacking true loyalty to parts 1 & 2. Some nice ideas, which could have made the film better. The topless shots of the young guy got old after awhile especially since the girl never reciprocated. Anyway, if you have to catch a lep film, this isn’t a bad choice.
