Leprechaun (1993)

An old man finds a pot of gold but not before it’s owner comes to claim it. A leprechaun is on the lookout for his gold and ends up being trapped in a box for 10 years in a house’s basement hoping to find a way out. Trapped by the owner of the house, by a 4 leaf clover, although not before giving him a stroke, 2 relatives visit the old man’s house. The leprechaun is saved from his dungeon when the 4 leaf clover is taken away from the box. The leprechaun then searches for his gold, killing everyone in his path. But can a “Friend” save them all from his wrath?
Overall: The first film for mega tv-star Jennifer Aniston is silly & cheezy. However it has spawned 4 sequels and still continues to pad Warwick Davis’ resume of films. Watch in future films for the following: what is stolen from the leprechaun and what kills him – in this film, the gold is stolen and 4 leaf clover’s “kill” him.
