Overall: It’s hard to top the original and so once you realize you can’t, what’s the point of the remake??? The film is not as savage, as brutal, as disturbing as the original film. I remember having issues with the plot of the original but after watching this, I admire the original more now. This film is just so tame compared to he first and despite some nice acting going on, there isn’t much to make the film worth your time. If you haven’t seen either film, or just the original film, that’s what I’d recommend. Skip the new film, watch the original and stay up late at night as a parent and refuse to let your kids leave the home!!! Comparison: Last House on the Left meets Ghost |
