Laid to Rest (2009)

Summary: The story of a young girl who wakes up in a casket with a head injury and no memory of her identity. She quickly realizes she was abducted by a deranged killer in an rural town and she must survive the night from a killer who is hell-bent on finishing what he started.           Overall: I was really liking this movie. Although in many ways it can be some “typical slasher” film, it still had some nuances that made it stand out. We had a very technologically advanced killer who enjoying stalking and terrorizing their victims. We also have a very mysterious and captivating plot involving our heroine and what exactly got her into this mess. That made it entertaining and very much worth your time to watch it. And the gore didn’t hurt either – some really nice effects!           Comparison: Joy Ride meets The Hitcher
