Komodo (1999)

Summary: Patrick watched as his parents and dog got attacked by Komodo Dragons, loose on the island. He’s been traumatized for life and needs many a shrink’s help to deal with it all. His new shrink wants him to confront his fears by going back to the island and facing everything. Problem is, the komodos still live there and they want to finish what they started!           Overall: The movie is sorta “ok.” I like the fact the film is a bit different re: monsters and killer animals. We get a shrink, dealing with fears and stuff. That’s new. Different. I liked that. But it can be slow at times also. One thing that’s so fascinating about the film since I watched it & found many others agree with me…this film has some pretty good effects. I mean for a silly cheesy monster movie, the komodos looked good…not cheesy, some really good CGI here. So impressed by this. So overall given the story and uniqueness, I’d recommend this movie. But it's best to note, do stay away from the sequels.           Comparison: Jaws meets Them
