Summary: After the death of his partner in a hostage situation, the former detective of the Seoul Special Operations Force, Woo Young-min, feels responsible for the tragedy and quits the police force. His uncle is the owner of the department store, Dreampia, and he hires Woo to be the chief of the security of Dreampia, which is now rebuilt after a fire where many employees died. But already days before re-opening folks are starting to die off, and if Woo doesn’t find out who did this, the police will and shut down the store, for good!
Overall: The film seemed a little long at time but I do think this film is superior to the American one. The story here makes a lot more sense and the character of “Woo” works better with the overall plot than the one with Kiefer Sutherland. Not as gory as the American counterpart, it’s still a really good film. Comparison: Mirrors meets Poltergeist 2 |
