The Beast of Yucca Flats (1961)

A defecting Russian Scientist is in the wring place at the wrong time. A nuclear bomb has just been detonated at a testing site, nearby where the scientist is being pursued by KGB agents. They die and he becomes a mutated beast, out for a kill. A few victims later, the world will be on the lookout for this hideous beast!           Overall: Frankly, I think out-of-work film students can write better screenplays than this film. It was shot as a silent film and they dubbed in both the minuscule dialogue and plenty of narration later on. Saved money. The story is just pure crap but that’s not the worst part of the film. The acting is truly abhorrent. Take a look at the driver of the car protecting Tor Johnson, as he gets shot…he has to think about being shot before he’ll actually fall down. Lots of times, I’ll advise you one way or other about a film and hope you take my advice. This is a film where I beg of you to skip it. It really is a piece of trash. And not worth anyone’s time.           Comparison: Plan Nine from Outer Space meets Glen or Glenda
