Vampyres (1974)

- written February 2000

In the London countryside, sits an old house with 2 women who pose as hitchhikers in order to seduce men to take them home for erotic pleasures. But when the sex is over these women love to eat their new friends too. On this particular day, Miriam and Fran get Ted to stop by. They begin to take a liking to him though and so when the night is over and the morning arrive, he is still alive. Yet the women are nowhere to be found - they are out scurrying the roads for victims. They also seem to have some trespassers who have parked out on the castle grounds to do some painting and relax. Harriet has nothing better to do than to eavesdrop and snoop and soon when a few stranded motorists start being found by the police in a deceased state, Ted starts to pay attention too. But Ted soon realizes these 2 women are vampires and he must get away. But someone needs to stop them - that is, before their own hearts stop beating.

Overall: This film is from the 70’s and there is a decent amount of lesbian stuff going on here between feeding frenzies (see video below). The film can get boring and all in all the film turns MacBeth-ian in the way the women continually return to the roads for victims but can never seem to get any farther.
