Can demons actually live inside us and then all of a sudden be transformed into separate beings? Well this movie would make it seem more likely. 5 young adults have answered an ad to come to a house in the woods and participate in an experiment. All they have to do is to be honest, ignore the cameras and have fun. But fairly soon, all isn’t what it seems as 1 by 1 the test subjects start dying. The television seems to show someone tearing off their own skin and reciting one word: "kolobos." Now with Kyra struggling to remain alive and make it out, some of her remaining subjects begin to fear her because her drawings of her fellow subjects being mutilated are coming true. Will Kyra make it out alive or will her own friends make mincemeat out of her?
Overall: The film basically sucked. The effects are very weak, the movie is extremely confusing, and even a commenter at IMDB couldn’t figure out what was with the ending. The film has Kyra haunted by visions, attacked by a bad guy, which by the end has her actually being the whole monster in it all. If so, what was with the skin-peeled monster who attacked her. If she was behind it all, how did that monster get her? If it was only in her mind, how come other people saw the same stuff? Fucked-up film with no sense being made at anytime. Kolobos is supposed to mean self-mutilation which is obviously what Kyra is supposed to have a fascination for. Only funny part was that the character of Erica was a veteran of bad horror films. Well, chalk this film up as yet another one. Comparison: Blair Witch meets the Real World |
