Inferno (1980)

Rose buys a book from a local antique dealer, a diary of an architect. She learns of “Three Mothers,” witches who rules the world and believes her apartment building is one of their houses. She pleads with her brother, Mark, who is studying music in Rome, to come, because she is afraid. By the time Mark arrives in New York City, he is investigating his sister's murder. Then the real mystery starts.

Overall: Another Argento film and frankly if you’ve read my other reviews on Dario’s films, I’m sure you can guess where this review is going. There is no true plot. When you leave this film and realize where the characters were taken with the plot, you come to realize, that basically nothing happened. Everyone except Mark basically dies or vanishes or whatever and yet we never are told why these things happened or what effect it had. The deaths have no reason, the story and actors make no sense if taken in connection to the supposed trilogy (including Suspiria). We’ve got the same actors from the first film acting in this film playing totally different characters...and yet this film is supposed to follow the first film. It’s not scary, the plot doesn’t have any answers and although the colors are nice...the film isn’t very good.
