Cheerleader Camp/Bloody Pom Poms (1987)

Allison and her fellow cheerleaders are sent to a cheerleading camp looking to hone their skills and the best team in the region. But unfortunately a psycho is at the same camp looking to kill off the competition. Beware, because the pom poms are gonna get bloody.
Overall: Well, I’d say the most interesting part of the movie is who stars in the film: 70’s heartthrob Leif Garrett along with 2 Playboy Playmates & a Penthouse Pet. Oh and one of the playmates eventually became a porn star (Teri Weigel). The plot has some major holes, which there is no point in addressing. Frankly, if you watch this film there’s only one reason you are watching it: t&a. Silly film with bad white rappers, terrible music score, bad lip-synching and a really bad script. Personally, I preferred the original title: "Bloody Pom Poms." And doesn’t Lucinda Dickey look a lot like Daphne Zuniga? Not the same person (and you can definitely tell by the voice) but the hair and nose are so similar. Comparison: Bring it On Meets Sleepaway Camp |
