Cleo is a retired scientist just looking to enjoy life but she once participated in a creation of a genetically-engineered killing machine…and it’s escaped. The government believes she is the only one who can track it down and stop the bloodshed. But she’s also gonna find that a certain owner of a Circus has his own plans to capture the creature and won’t allow anyone to get in his way.
Overall: This is a bad film where there are so many plot holes, I probably don’t have enough bandwidth to fully explain everything. Obviously if you are watching this movie, you were enticed by the appearance of "Ms. Heidi Fleiss." Heidi is best known for the fact she ran a high-scale “prostitution” service for the Hollywood elite of movie stars and politicians. Eventually she was convicted of tax evasion (ala Al Capone) and served ½ of her 3-year sentence. She’s a celebrity basically because she hasn’t released all the names of her clients (Charlie Sheen being one of the few names that got out). Nevertheless, let’s not forget she’s a convicted criminal and her notoriety of being a prostitute is what is driving the marketing of this film… Anyway, I watched the “behind the scenes” and frankly, I think the plot sounded better the way they told it as opposed to the way it got filmed. The character of Cleo is supposedly a retied govt. scientist but they never explain whom she worked for, where she worked, what she experimented on, or what she was trying to do. No clear indication at all of what the creature is, where it came from, how it was created and of what parts it was created from, nor why it can magically roll car windows up from the inside when it is standing 100 feet away. ESP? Somehow both the circus guy, Psycho Billy, and the sheriff both know where the creature is hiding when neither have any connections to the creature or to the government. But they just know where to go and immediately end up in the right place without any hints or clues. And when the creature runs through the circus and attacks people, immediately Psycho Billy jumps in a limo and drives off to the place where the creatures resides, grabs the creature’s child (no explanation of what happened there), drives back to circus and makes this child an exhibit. And even though the police showed up and reported the deaths at the circus, the Circus still has an audience without any negative publicity nor any worried workers over the creature’s attack. I think that’s enough bashing for now...I really could go on. It’s just a mess of a script. Comparison: X-Files meets Mind Ripper |
