Judd is the manger of a Bayou hotel out in the middle of nowhere and this week he has an unusually large amount of guests. But Judd isn’t getting much return business because no one ever checks out. Once they check in, he lets his trusty alligator eat his customers. But this just may be the week that he ends up with the wrong guests…guests who won’t just die without a fight!
Overall: The film features some neat cameos: Carolyn Jones who played Morticia Addams in the tv show “The Addams Family” as well as Robert Englund in one of his first roles. And don’t miss Kyle (kyl-ee) Richards as the mother of the young girl, who is the real-life aunt of Paris Hilton. The film is quite slow for the first hour before it finally takes off so for a lot of it, you just watch Judd sit around or stand around. It’s really trying to give you an in-depth look into his mind and ends up like watching “ED-TV.” The women don’t seem to have problems dressing down at times so the film isn’t a total loss. The character of Judd totally reminded me of Billy Bob Thornton (say of “U-turn”). It’s an interesting and clearly forgotten film but I really think this is a “Psycho” version of Tobe Hooper’s own film “Texas Chainsaw Massacre.” Comparison: Psycho meets Texas Chainsaw Massacre |
