Dr. Warren is testing the effects of fear in people and wants to try and isolate the idea of fear. However doing so, the good doctor realizes that “fear” is being affected by a creature that comes out of the spine…and only screaming will save you.
Overall: Well believe it or not this is not a porn film…you may have thought that if not too familiar with Vincent Price. However the film is interesting and is similar to “Dr. Jekyll & Mr. Hyde” but the bummer about the film is the effects of the creature. It looks like a giant worm and the effects are just so bad. Other than that the film is clearly designed to scare you and does a decent job. This is one of those films where the theatre was designed to help scare you, with buzzers attached to the seats which would facilitate that. I found the scene with Price on an LSD “trip” so odd in that by 2004, it is such a potent and illegal drug.
