Joanne has taken a summer job that has her closing up the college dorm and selling it all off on behalf of the college. She’s got a few friends to help her but a killer has also gotten into the act of cleaning up. Seems Joanne has multiple suitors and one of them doesn’t like her having friends. So 1 by 1 they will die until Joanne comes face to face with her secret admirer.
Overall: This film is definitely the movie that most 80’s “college horror” films copied. You can really see the effects of this film’s plot in the Wynorski films of “Sorority House Massacre” and “Slumber Party Massacre” films. There is the “Orville Ketchum” type character in this film and the usual bits of everyone splitting up and getting slaughtered 1 by 1 while trying to make out even when the killer is killing people. The ending though was fairly unique and not truly imitated later on (maybe because it – spoiler – doesn’t allow for much of a sequel). The only truly unique part is watching for “Melrose Place’s" Daphne Zuniga in one of her first roles. Cute film, hard to find, and the quality is dark but still interesting.
