Dr. Terror’s House of Horrors (1965)

Dr. Schreck has encountered 5 people on a train and decides to try his hand at tarot cards. But what his 5 unsuspecting victims don’t realize is that Shreck is actually “Death” and he’s gonna show them what they’ve forgotten - how they died! 1. An architect hired to make alterations at a house is soon to realize that a secret is kept within the walls. 2. A family at home finds a creeping vine that won’t let them outside ever again. 3. An up-and-coming jazz musician finds he can’t mess with Voodoo. 4. An art critic who is embarrassed in a joke by a local painter gets revenge and find revenge isn’t very sweet. 5. Newlyweds soon learnt that not only is one of them a vampire, but the town isn’t big enough for 2 of them! Overall: Decent stuff with great cast. The last 2 are the best ones actually with a great job by Christopher Lee in the 4th episode. Nice stuff here but if it was between this or the 1972 "Tales from the Crypt" or later "Vault of Horror"...I'd go with the other 2 over this film. |
