Jesus Christ Vampire Hunter (2001)

Vampires have gotten loose in Canada and only one person can stop them, the son of God. Lured out of retirement, Jesus has gone with a new look to fight the forces of evil. When he’s not singing and dancing or commiserating with lesbians and bisexuals, he’s practicing his martial arts moves on atheists and other non-believers (see video below). Oh, and his trusty sidekick is none other than a masked Mexican wrestler. Live to Pray...pray to live. May the body of Christ impale you...

Overall: I gotta say this is a fun film. It’s interesting, it’s amusing, and it’s obvious the few Canadian dollars they spent were put into the plot and into good cinematography. However they obviously forgot to plug in their digital camera when making this video. The video quality is atrocious and the sound is even worse. They are speaking English and it still has the dubbing quality of a “Godzilla” film. I’ve seen some terrible films in my time...only one other film had the video quality of this one (Ax ‘Em). Basically they spent their money in the wrong places and watching the outtakes & deleted scenes, it truly looks like they tried to film this by doing stop-camera animation with Polaroids. If u have the chance to rent it, I suggest doing so if only for a laugh. But I’m certain this whole comedy troupe is going to hell...if not for spoofing JC, but for deserving an “F” in film school and instead getting a degree. P.S. The film is really a spoof of “John Carpenter’s Vampires” – JC = Jesus Christ & John Carpenter.
