Frederic is at a perfume premiere party and noticed the travel poster on the wall which seemed to stand out. The poster is showing a castle way out in France, which stirs some memories within him. Soon enough he decides he must go there and find out what memories he has repressed. But his mom isn’t a happy camper about this and someone else is conspiring to stop him before he knows the truth. But halfway through his journey, he awakens 4 female vampires who assist him in locating the castle so he can finally awaken the woman of his dreams.
Overall: The most notable part of the film is the fact that there are long periods of silence in this film. Frederic spends much of the movie being chased by the conspirators and saved by the 4 female vampires, which are naked by the way. But from the 24 minute point until the 50 minute point of the film, there are literally only 3 minutes of dialogue. I spent time actually timing the movie without dialogue. A few 7 minute sections and finally a nice long 9 minute section. 9 minutes with no dialogue!!!!! And that is part of a 26 minute section of the film where the # of sentences could be counted using only 2 hands. I thought they should have done more with the 4 female vampires as a protection weapon – they looked way too passive when chasing off the bad guys who attacked Frederic. They could have done better with regards to that. The story is fine but since the characters are mute for so long, this is one film you truly miss nothing when u keep the finger on the fast-forward button. This is from the same director as “Shivers of the Vampire.” Don’t confuse yourself and think this is a lesbian vampire movie...just a naked vampire movie. Comparison: Morgana meets Lady in White |
