Sarah is an American at the International High School in Prague and looking to have a fun graduation party at a local pool & bar establishment. But their fun only starts the insanity flowing as the 13 who attend the gathering start to disappear 1 by 1. Sarah must figure out who can be trusted and who can’t before her Geneva Convention gets violated!
Overall: Having visited Prague a few times when I saw this movie, I figured at the very least I’d enjoy the scenery. And I did…enjoy the scenery. The movie left a lot to be desired...except ad placements for Heineken. The production company was German; the cast from a multitude of countries but the story was truly cheese. The movie attempts to toss in some red herrings but basically you know who the killer is early on, if only because you will notice who always seems to be missing from the group. The writers must have figured that with 13 bodies running around the viewer might lose track…might and will aren’t the same thing. The killer’s mask and much of the motive goes unexplained. I mean the outfit is trying to be like “scream” and ending up like “Serpent and the Rainbow’s” voodoo priests. And that beginning was a flat copy of "Scream's" beginning anyway. With a horror film so focused around bathing suits and water, I figured they had to do more with that plotline but surprisingly enough, everyone kept their clothes on – probably trying to escape what the American writers are always looking for. But this film could set the all-time worst line in a cheesy horror film…"oh Greg, I know what you did last summer!" Comparison: Caddyshack 2 meets Mission Impossible |
