Asylum (1972)







          Dr. Martin is going to Dunsmoor Asylum for a job interview but when he arrives he finds out that Dr. Starr is no longer running the place. He’s a patient now. The interim director offers Martin the job IF he can figure out who Dr. Starr is now. So Martin interviews 4 patients and listens to their stories. The ending will surprise you.

          Overall: I liked this movie. The stories of the 4 are kind of interesting but the film keeps you involved because it’s a mystery. Who is Dr. Starr? A mistress who encourages a married man to kill his wife but he doesn’t get the job done; a tailor who makes the perfect suit for a father who wants to bring his child back from the dead; a woman who has a spilt personality and this leads to a bunch of corpses; or a puppet maker who is trying to place his spirit into a small puppet so he can exact revenge on mankind. The ending is really neat. I definitely recommend this one.
