The Astronaut’s Wife (1999)

Spencer Armacoust has returned from space after an accident which has left his partner dead and his wife worries. Seems Spencer isn’t feeling himself lately and everyone is starting to notice. Soon his wife thinks he’s been taken over by an alien – however looks can be deceiving.
Overall: I heard terrible stuff about this film & the ending so I had no real expectations outside of bad ones. The film however kept itself interesting and the ending isn’t that bad – it isn’t as great as other films but it’s not like you were watching “Love Crimes.” The ending is a traditional horror film ending so don’t be surprised. It’s not very “final” but I wasn’t shocked either. Basically the film adds a twist or two to the Twilight Zone episode "Parallel." Comparison: The Right Stuff meets Puppet Masters |
