Angus Shaw is a carnival owner who knows a good scam when he sees it. However Lillian has joined him at a rival’s house to view an actual living mermaid. Seeing only dollar signs, they kill the mermaid’s owner and steal the mermaid to take to America. But the closer she is to water and farther away from Ireland, the meaner she gets. And they’ll all be lucky to get out alive!
Overall: Not too bad of a film. I think the middle starts to bore you as there is a mutiny aboard and a bunch of non-mermaid related storylines but overall, this is a winner. Comparison: Splash meets Peter Pan |
