The Cell (2000)

Carl is a serial killer with a different twist: he likes to place his victims in glass cells and slowly fill them with water while videotaping the events and enjoying every second of it. A new victim has gone missing but Carl hasn’t. He’s slipped into an irreversible coma. So he can’t just be tortured for the information, the FBI is going to have to enter his dream world to do so. Miraculously, the Fbi is already looking into this sort of thing and is easily available to enter Carl’s mind. But entering a kid’s mind and a serial killer’s mind aren’t the same. There is disaster awaiting on the other side and they only have 40 hours to save this girl’s life!
Overall: The film has awesome visual effects but I can’t say too much more that’s good about it. Yes J-Lo looks awesome, she always has, but her ego and this script leave much to be desired. I say that this is a film to miss! Comparison: Dreamscape meets Mystic Pizza |
