Blood Surf/Krocodylus (2000)

Definitely a unique film. We have 4 people on way to Philippines to shoot a documentary about surfing in shark-infested waters when they meet up with a different sort of creature. In between doing battle with a giant crocodile, they meet with 3 natives and 2 Americans for help in their task. But, the old American boat captain is more like a Captain Ahab and just when they group thinks they’ll be saved he goes after power & glory!
Overall: Film is very cheesy – the effects are beyond awful and the plastic croc is a lot better than the superimposed crocs in the surfing. I mean it is really is fakery at its worse. The film employed the flattest women they could find and then decided to pull off lots of topless shots. Not a good combo there folks. It’s a silly film but remarkably I will recommend it for it’s challenging imagery. Comparison: Point Break meets Lake Placid |
