The Watcher (2000)

James Spader plays a burnt out retired cop on the run from his own investigation. Seems his failure to catch a Los Angeles serial killer has cost him his patience, his job, his sanity and his wife. But the movie isn't all fun and games, as the killer has followed him to Chicago and Spader is receiving clues as to their identity before each murder. But finding a victim in 3 million people is worse than a needle in a haystack and that is all Spader has - that is until the killer decides to get personal, again!

Overall: The film is full of flashbacks and basically u sit and wonder why they developed such a pathetic protagonist. His drug problem was enough to run him out of the force but he still seems more than functional! Marisa Tomei needs a better agent - she wins an Oscar for best supporting actress and appears in weak useless films, like this. You can see better Keanu performances in "Bill & Ted."

Comparison: Copycat meets Die Hard 3
