Honeymoon/Lune De Miel (1985)

Cecile Carline is looking for a way to stay in the U.S. after her boyfriend was caught for drug possession. Cecile enlists a marriage agency which allows her to remain in the U.S. by marrying an American. The American gets paid, the lady is officially an American, and all is well. But whereas normally the "husbands" don't meet their wives, Mr. Zack Freestamp decides to move in. He never seems quite stable but does find a way to live with Cecile. But when all seems well for they newlyweds, Cecile learns of Zack's past. And if he doesn't kill her, the INS may.
Overall: The film has a somewhat decent plot but it gets bogged down in nonsense. As loony as Zack is, she remains living with him and even tries some romance. It is very obvious from the first moment Zack is psychotic but Cecile always gives him the benefit of the doubt. She may be French but that is still moronic, even for her. Sorry, but not realistic. 12/7/04 Ok what's amazing right now is that I have some of my reviews getting 100 hits A DAY!!!!! This review has 7 hits in...3 years. So I've added the french title to the review because frankly, no one is watching this film and I've gotta bet there are more than 7 people who watched this movie since 2001.
