The Stepdaughter (2000)

Susan is looking for her birth mother and is stopping at nothing to find her. When Susan reaches the homes of the Connors, she knows she's found the right people. Endearing herself to them, they take her on as a horse-handler. But Linda, the daughter, isn't taking kindly to Susan and from the very start has weird feelings about her. Soon enough people start to die and they all end up figuring out what went wrong. Susan wanted to show everyone what it was like to be an orphan.

Overall: Yet another bad film from 2000 with not an even an ounce of nudity to keep anyone interested. The film never lets ya know how she found the Connors or how she knows they are her real parents. The death of Will makes no real sense - yes it helps her get the job but we never find out, without inferring it, that she knew who Will was and that she could get the job. Hell, they barely even have Susan around the horses. And you can't tell me Andrea Roth doesn't look enough like "Coyote Ugly's" Maria Bello. Basically the box cover looks cool, but obviously I forgot the adage: Don't rent a film by its cover.

Comparison: Coyote Ugly meets Friend of the Family
