Phi Epsilon Nu is having its traditional "Hell Week" and a few night pledges are willing to undergo all the pain and suffering just so they can flip burgers in 3 years. But this Frat House is haunted. See, Larry is pledging for this fraternity in this house, the very same combo that caused his dad Sid, to die 20 years earlier. With the new initiations set up, Sid's spirit is back and wants to make sure no one harms his boy. One by one the brothers end up dying horrible deaths but not before father and son get one last reunion.
Overall: What the hell was this film? The film has possessions, evil spirits coming through people's skin, some insanity and even more holes than Swiss cheese. The plot is cheesy enough, especially the "touching" reunion between father and son. The film tends to be childish at parts while at the same time attempting to be a serious film. Basically, the more you watch the less you can tell what is bad acting, no acting, or simply a poorly written script which was re-written in the 2nd half to make up for the holes in the first half. A basic problem with "frat horror films" is that basically they suffer from too few actors. Fraternities are big organizations with lots of people and to think that a frat house could have this many pledges with what, only 3 brothers, carrying this out? Come on, folks. There's some nudity, which may be the only saving point, if it wasn't so unrealistic and thrown in as it was. I mean if you are going to make the ladies nude, at least give them a good reason. Oh, and if you blink, you may miss Elvira without the make-up (Cassandra Peterson). Comparison: Sorority babes and the Slime-Bowl-O-Rama meet Slumber Party Massacre 3 |
