Mr. Frost/The Deadly Mr. Frost (1990)

Mr. Frost is a man arrested for 24 murders and placed into a mental institution for the criminally insane. It is there that weird things begin to happen and one of the doctors begins to get into Frost's mind, or is it the opposite? See, Mr. Frost just may be the devil. And everyone is dying to know if its true.

Overall: I’ve really enjoyed this film over the years and frankly it ranks up there as "a film with such great promise that just falls short of it." I think the ending really was the problem here. It’s not really terrible or anything like that, but as the film goes on, you have an idea as to what will or should happen. Then this ending occurs and you’re like “Huh?” Goldblum puts in a great performance as Mr. Frost and basically the film tries to play with your mind. Is Mr. Frost actually Satan and causing all this stuff to happen or is everyone else just buying his insanity and connecting the dots on their own? It’s a good film but really could have been better.
