A film of 4 stories:
1) Terror In Topanga – A serial killer William Glazer is looking for another victim and Lisa is the potential victim who can’t stop smoking. 2) Bishop of Battle – Emilio Estevez is a video game freak who wants to beat this one game, even if it kills him. 3) Benediction – A priest who has lost faith and may find it just before he is killed by a stalker in a truck. 4) Night of the Rat – a giant rat is loose in a house and daddy is willing to let everyone know he doubts its existence. Overall/Comparison: All these stories have been done since this film came out and capitalized on this film’s weaknesses. “Topanga” was done by John Carpenter in his “Body Bags”, “Duel” easily makes up for “Benediction,” “Tron” outdoes “Bishop of Battle” and if you’d prefer a horror film for this example, check out Emelio’s own “Maximum Overdrive,” and finally “Rats” was done in the film “Of Unknown Origin.” |
