Summary: Geum-ja has just been released from prison. She’s been there over 11 years, for a crime she didn’t commit. See, she took the rap for killing a young boy to protect the life of her own child. But not once in those years has she accepted her fate. No, she’s ready to ensure the real killer faces some retribution for what he did. Now that she’s out, she visiting her former inmate friends and looking to cash in on favors they owe her. The kind and gentle prison persona is gone and she’s single-minded in the revenge she’s gonna exact!

Overall: Quiet a powerful film and well worth the viewing. Although the ending wasn’t all I was hoping for, the focal point of the film for me was when she had our bad guy tied to a chair in one room and had the family members of the murdered children in the other. The parents are all draped up in plastic parkas to protect their clothing from the blood they’re about to spill. They’re sitting there waiting for their turn, as if this was all perfectly normal. And that’s the power of this film. We set up for the climax and the climax blows us away!!!! Needless to say I was waiting for this film and built it up for myself...and it delivered everything I thought it would.
