The Tell-Tale Heart (1960)

Summary: Edgar has fallen in love with his next door neighbor but when she falls for someone else, he doesn’t even seem to notice. Well, he doesn’t until his usual night of peeping finds her in the arms on another man…his best friend no less. So he decides to take revenge but alas, his conscience is a little too strong for his own good.           Overall: I found the film with a fairly boring plot but some really good acting. And for those performances and the long looks without dialogue, still worth the time to rent this film. It’s not too bad at all.           But don't confuse yourself with a nice review for the film, to be respective of what they did to Edgar Allen Poe's story. Poe's short story resembles this film probably only in the location of the vicitm's body. They've rewritten the movie, added a ton of characters and then dragged out the ending, in the movie. Nicely acted film and yet still, can't miss reading Poe's original works though.           Comparison: Tales form the Crypt meets Stir of Echoes
