Calvaire/The Ordeal (2004)

Summary: Marc is a performer who is just trying to make a little money and give people some laughter and enjoyment. But once he leaves the sanity of a nursing home, everything will go straight to hell. His car will break down, he’ll be stuck in the backwoods and the person that tries to help him, might be the least of his worries!           Overall: So…you read that about and maybe you’re thinking “Last House on the Left or “Texas Chainsaw Massacre” or maybe even “Deliverance.” Can I say…this film makes “Deliverance” look like a Disney film. As the film proceeds to the climax, you’ll sit there and just wanna scream like Joey Stiles “Oh My God!” Definitely not for the squeamish, I will say the film definitely tries to take you the next level. Reminds me much of “Audition”…slow to start, building up your plot…seems “painless” and then once the torture starts, it won’t get easier to sit through! Definitely a film worth watching.           Comparison: Deliverance meets Pulp Fiction
