Jack-O (1995)

Well the Kelly family will never forget the Pumpkin Man. A century ago a Warlock named Walter was burned at the stake for witchcraft and before he died summoned Jack-O, The Pumpkin Man, after the town. It was Arthur Kelly that finally put a rest to the demon before the whole town died. Now 100 years later, it is Halloween again and Jack-O, the Pumpkin Man, wants his revenge. Only upon the 5th male descendant to Arthur, can that boy kill Jack-O and after a few drunk kids engaging in sex disturbs the old Kelly graveyard and Jack-O's resting place does he rise again to slaughter the innocents. The 5th male heir is Shawn Kelly and he's way too young even to be watching horror films. But his parents are having a garage Haunted House and need a baby-sitter (despite the fact they are only in the garage). That baby-sitter now must ensure his safety while the entire town does their trick-or-treating. But Shawn needs to have his own fun and makes an effort to visit the graveyard. Can Shawn battle Jack-O back into the soil or will Walter finally get his revenge on the townspeople that killed him?

Overall: Well you know the cheesyness of this film when top billing actually goes to the baby-sitter - Linnea Quigley. And of course includes the obligatory nude shower scene - even that is campy, per the "Sorority House Massacre" films. The whole plot is kind of screwy given it has to be the 5th male heir and the way to kill Jack-O who doesn't actually rise until the cross on his grave is removed - thereby allowing the demon's spirit to escape given the cross was so powerful. Bad effects, bad costume, and bad film.

Comparison: Halloween 3 meets Friday the 13th Part 9
