Virus (1980)

Summary: A genetically-engineered virus created by the U.S. military has been released and killed almost everyone around the world. Just a few patches or survivors remain and now the key is to survive at all costs. But even then, can you trust everyone who lives with you?           Overall: Well firstly, I watched the 108 min “American Version” of the movie. Be aware that there is a 155 minute version that exists out there, which I’ve only heard good things about. We do have a nice cast and some decent ideas. The basic problem with the film (at 108 mins) is frankly, there s too much going on in such a short period of time. And I think the 155 min version probably solves much of my problems. It’s got some nice ideas on survival and protecting humanity as it is, but really the viewer is gonna get lost in all the things going on. I’d say skip this and only aim for the 155 min version. Then get back to me on it.           Comparison: 12 Monkeys meets 28 Days Later
