Paranoiac (1964)

Summary: The Ashby family just can't get anything right these days. The young sister thinks she's going insane and that her dead brother will come back to life. Her older brother, Simon, just wants his inheritance and knows he'll have to drive his sister insane to get it. And then one day the long-dead younger brother ends up alive…and nothing good can come from that!           Overall: We have some nice performances here as we struggle to figure out who's really insane and who is who they say they are. I think the major problem of the film is the implied incest between Eleanor and her younger brother Tony. The characters are so in love with each other, it makes it hard to root for them. Film is just "ok" otherwise. Outside of another nice performance by Oliver Reed, nothing else to see here.           Comparison: Screaming Skull meets Sommersby
