Another Public Enemy/Gonggongui jeog 2 (2005)

Summary: Cheol-jung Kang is a prosecutor out to get notorious gangster Sang-woo Han...whom Kang knows quite well actually. The 2 were rivals back in the day at school and now all these years later, one is the epitome of evil and the other is the prize of “goodness.” But this battle can only have one winner!           Overall: The biggest problem I have with the film is its length. It’s just way too long for the action film that it is. Yeah I buy that they’re trying to convince the audience, this is how low the police must go to truly snag the bad guy. But it’s over 2 hours and 20 minutes long. Just not short enough to be worth it…despite some truly cool fight scenes. It really had some good ideas...I loved the quirkiness of the prosecutor, trying to learn English and all. But it bogs down with the mind-games with out main characters which gets dragged out a little too long. So grab some popcorn and prepare for the long haul.           Comparison: Dragnet meets Mr. Nice Guy
