Summary: Matusoka is a freelance cameraman who catches video of a man committing suicide in a subway station after witnessing something traumatic. The problem is, there was nothing visible that could have leant to that death. So Matusoka returns to the scene and eventually finds himself in the underground world of Tokyo, deep below the surface and finds a young woman. But this woman is nothing like he’s ever seen and soon realizes, she may not even be human. Or worse…he may be turning into one of the underground creatures!
Overall: This is a weird film. Now on the same level as say “Uzumaki” or “Testsuo” but really weird. And yet it had a lot of potential. It does have some nice nuances to it that make it very necessary for a horror fan’s library…because you’ll want to watch this more than once. Ask yourself…is this guy crazy or perhaps the sanest person alive? Comparison: Tetsuo meets Journey to the Center of the Earth |
