The Passion Network (2001)

Summary: Janna has had enough of the games and goes to the police to tell her story. Her boyfriend, Matt, ran off to be a member of the “Society of the Ring,” which basically is a powerful orgy group. Seems the wealthy and powerful get together for uninhibited sex and it’s all video-taped for a “Flesh Shopping Channel.” Janna sees Matt get killed once the 2 of them get too far into it...but this “network” of powerful individuals won’t let her get away with anything.           Overall: The film actually tried hard. We have scene after scene after scene of simulated sex and everything in between is our female lead confessing to the cops. Seriously we have some nice ideas here of a plot. But much of the sex had clothed men so it’s unrealistic or shots which won’t excite anyone. But everyone is fairly good looking such that it’s an enjoyable visual film. Nevertheless, there is better stuff out there.           Comparison: L.A. Confidential meets Exotica
