Summary: Tymez Skwair and his friends, Fuzzy Down and Likrish are aspiring rappers who encounter a beautiful woman, Stesha, on the street who hints they should visit her business. Turns out she’s a stripper…oh, and a vampire too. Unsure how to find her at first Tymez contacts a friend, Truck, who knows exactly who she is and refuses to help them other than to ensure he goes nowhere near her. But Tymez has been marked by the vampire and feels urges to find her establishment. After doing so and being captured, Truck must now go after them and save them all. But Tymez might hold the key to world domination...and that is something Truck doesn’t know.
Overall: Silly, silly film. As the scene in the strip joint unfolds, I was actually convinced there would be no nudity. It goes a long while before something finally comes off. The film really plays out like "From Dusk till Dawn" at times and it get slow in the middle, when the vampires separate the 3 friends for no apparent reason. Basically I’d say this film is forgettable simply because it just isn’t cohesive enough to keep one interested. And you do get to see some obvious mistakes that they chose not to fix. Example, watch the scene as Truck pulls off the older, mute vampire lady...he grabs her top, pulls her off...top comes off as she is pulled, and her hands immediately start pulling the top back on... My opinion...re-shoot the scene. Oh and note...filmed at same location as "Hell Asylum." Comparison: Tales from the Hood meets John Carpenter’s Vampires |
