Summary: At the Foothill Experimental Weapons Center, a group of bioengineered spiders escape from the lab and soon start to attack Los Angeles. Meanwhile a all-female rock group, Bare-Naked Barbies, are seeking to become the next hit, if only they can survive their own batch of spiders. The longer the attack goes on, the harder it’ll be to kill the mutating spiders. Can anyone survive?
Overall: I guess there are really 2 ways to take this film. If you go into this expecting a serious film, expecting high-quality work...you’re probably gonna turn this film off around 7-8 minutes in. In terms of expecting a serious movie, you’ll hate this film. You’ll curse the director, producer and film-making company for spending thousands of dollars on crap. Now...if you go into this film looking for fun, looking for laughs, and even maybe happen to have some alcohol and buddies to watch this with you…there’ a good 80 minutes of entertainment here. Among the miniatures, fake rubber spiders, etc...there’s some nice acting, an amusing (if not a mess of a plot) and some very funny ideas here. For the sake of fun, you’ll really enjoy this film. You’ll laugh...you’ll be amazed at the care of the miniatures and hell, you’ll curse out the CGI effects people while spitting up beer. For all those reasons, it’s a film to get watch.
