Summary: "Highway 91" follows a group of survivors after the zombie apocalypse, together, they are trying to reach a rumored sanctuary along the old abandoned highway, on the way however, they will have to face serial killers, religious cults and each other. "Highway 91" Is another true indie epic from Down Twisted Studios and features the usual bullet flying, brain blowing, gore soaked madness you've come to expect!

Overall: It’s a very low budget, indie film from Sonny Fernandez. And boy does he seem to do everything in the film… Get this man some help!!!

Ok, in all seriousness, I enjoyed the film. It was awesome!! It was a little long for me…few of the characters were giving some long speeches that maybe could have been cut down a bit. But I think the film’s #1 positive was its acting. The characters were all different, all had back stories. Especially with our 3 protagonists, you really wondered how they got together, why they stayed together and what they were looking for. The film also addressed important issues as to how to keep up the fight to stay alive given their inevitable future…how to keep it going and strive on. Although I thought the preacher’s soliloquys were a bit drawn out, it was still fascinating as we tried to discover his zombie secrets. And I think the film addressing why folks were drawn to the preacher and followed him was quite important given this changing world. I think the film does a great job keeping the viewer interested and sticking them in their chair so they are constantly wondering how the film will turn out.

Tons of blood and gore…very indie fight scenes…Sonny does a great job with the story and the characters! It's badass!

Comparison: Day of the Dead meets Book of Eli
