Summary: Alex takes her good friend Marie home to stay at her parents’ country home for the weekend. But that night a van pulls up and a man emerges and brutally kills all of Alex’s family. Marie survives by hiding and manages to sneak into the back of the van as the killer chains Marie up and takes her away. Soon Marie will do battle with the mysterious killer, trying to save her friend.

Overall: I guess there really is no way to review with this without spoiling the ending. So spoiler-alert is on.

Frankly, I enjoyed the ending. I liked the split-personality thing that was going on and who did it. What I didn’t like was now knowing this, was what the hell was up with the car chases and half of the other scenes which clearly didn’t exist because of who the killer is. If she’s the killer…getting driven to friend’s house, where did she get the van??? How many cars were being driven through the countryside. Did she know of the other house and half that stuff??? I think the film would have worked better if they had just went with the original vision of the ending:

According to the director, the screenplay version of the film had the entire movie from Marie's version of events. You didn't find out she was the killer until the end of the film after Marie defeats the killer and rescues Alex, when it would cut back to the Hospital Room and you see Marie in handcuffs. A police officer would roll in a TV and show Marie the video of her killing the gas station attendant and ask if she wanted to change her story.

Assuming the film ended right there, that would have been good!!! Good stuff, nice freaky ending and leave it at that. As it is, we get too much info and allows us to criticize the ending further. It’s a good ending but frankly just doesn’t make physical or logical sense given the rest of the movie. But worth a viewing. Tons of gore, some nudity too. Just some brutal dubbing though. Blah!
