The Haunting of Molly Hartley (2008)

Summary: Molly and her dad have moved to a new town to escape the memories of the attempted murder on Molly by her mother. Well things haven’t gotten any better as Molly hears voices, has visions and continually expects to be killed! The new school invites for new friends, new opportunities and unfortunately people who still want Molly dead!           Overall: I think the movie although looking nice, is basically a merging of “Rosemary’s Baby” and “Lost Souls.” In fact it’s more like the latter…what if you’re body was destined to become the vessel for pure evil…could you stop it? Here, it’s all about whether Molly will make it to age 18…as herself. It’s an interesting plot though as we try to figure out who is in on the conspiracy and who’s just simply in the way! The ending was different and for that I sorta wonder if a sequel is due soon!           Comparison: Lost Souls meets Rosemary’s Baby
