Summary:
Medical intern Billy McKinley arrives in the small town of Devil's Lake and finds himself thrust into the middle of a mystery as a string of unsolved murders start just as the annual Harvest Festival is about to begin. The murders happen to be similar to those of 20 years earlier. Has the original killer resurfaced or has a copycat come to take his place? Now, Billy must find a killer and save the town before it's too late.
Overall: The film for the most part is fairly straightforward copying of other films…Serial murders starting up after all these years…who did it…and why? I will say it’s really easy to figure out “who” the killer is…and by that I meant the relation to the original killer…what makes the film a bit unique and different is figuring out who the actual killer is (character) and whether or not they’ll get away with it./ And that was sorta unique and worth my time. Overall I came away feeling better about it after the reveal since before the reveal I was thinking it was the “same ole same ole.” Comparison: Friday the 13th Part 2 meets Red Hook |
