Summary: Vernon is a world-renowned pianist and after one of his great performances, ends up in a car accident., Seems the accident was so bad, Vernon could lose both his hands, ending his career. But Dr. Gil is under tremendous pressure from Vernon’s agent, and decides to do something never before performed. And so a hand transplant takes place and soon Vernon is back to “new.” But Vernon isn’t happy and thinks the good doctor is “playing God” and soon Vernon will repay others for their kindness.

Overall: I expected very little going on and found quite a decent story. We have a very strong “doctor” character in the film as well as quite an ungrateful “patient.” I think we have some nice performances but the film truly fails to convince us it’s all :”evil hands” as opposed to an unhappy depressed patient. They hint that the hands belonged to someone bad but never truly cross the “T’s” in the plot for this. You could say Jeff Fahey in “Body Parts” is a true successor to this film. Not bad though.

          Comparison: Body Parts meet Shine
