Ghouls (2008)

Summary: Jen’s grandmother has passed away in Romania and her family goes back to mourn her loss. Her dad and his girlfriend travel back and catch a look at the old town. Weird things seem to be going on though and soon Jen will realize the true reason she was brought her!           Overall: Typical Sci-Fi film fare here. The CGi is sorta “ok” and the ghouls have their good and bad moments. I think the best part of the movie is the location: Romania. Having visited there years ago, I enjoyed the scenery and the shots of the surrounding houses. I will admit I hadn’t realized how long it had been since “Silver Spoons” to see Erin Grey looking so much older now. Makes me feel old too. Anyway, overall you have a good cast here and great locations. The film is “ok” and might be worth watching if you had some extra time.           Comparison: Rosemary’s Baby meets Brotherhood of Satan
