Summary: When his brother dies on the eve of his wedding, Don travels back to his hometown in New England for the funeral services. He visits his grieving father Edward, who always attends a weekly meeting with his old friends to tell tales of horror, and together they form “The Chowder Society.” When 2 die in mysterious circumstances, Don sees the picture of a girl from the 20's and decides to enlighten them with his own ghost story which seems very eerily similar.
Overall: It’s a good film with a tremendous cast. Problem is, it’s a movie best seen very early on in your horror movie watching career. See our recent films and it seems like the same old “ghost story.” But you can see how this film influences many others. It’s a good film with a nice smoky ending to it.
