Ghost Month (2009)

Summary: Alyssa takes a job as a housekeeper with Miss Wu, is a very wealthy woman who lives in an big home with a lot of property. Alyssa really seems to enjoy her job there since she's away from city life and recently has broken off an abusive relationship. All is fine until Miss Wu starts doing rituals in the yard at night to ward off evil spirits. Alyssa ends up offending the spirits and the house turns on her leading her down a path from which she may not make it out alive.           Overall: There are reviews out there which really give this film positive feedback. They liked the plot, the dialogue, the acting. I was just sorta “eh” over everything. It was slow…it lacked interest for me. Nothing terrible here but just was boring. So go watch it and maybe you’ll find a nice gem here.           Comparison: Hungry Ghost Anthology meets The Ring
